Bonfire leads the way in effective social media integration

With any new technology there is a period of experimentation. Social Media is no different and at Bonfire we work hard to consistently monitor the social media work we carry out for our clients, to ensure every post makes the best impact it can. Our work has achieved great success, so much so it has even attracted Facebook’s attention.

Bonfire and Bosch’s home appliance brand have been working closely together to develop sector-leading social media strategy and management since 2012. In that time we’ve helped generate an unprecedented level of digital activity and awareness of their product ranges across multiple social media platforms, with targeted activity built around a highly optimised and loyal community.

We’ve integrated social media into all other marketing activity and delivered outstanding levels of engagement and return on investment for Bosch, such as:

  • Engagement levels over three times the Facebook average
  • The lowest cost per video view for the sector
  • A marketing campaign reach in excess of 4.6m over one month

The impact of this strategy was also noticed by Facebook, who invited us, as one of just two UK companies, to trial a new business service they were launching in 2013/14.

However, social media should never be a standalone channel. From the outset we have always asked ourselves what sort of presence would best serve Bosch. Not only to promote their brand and product sales, but to create a solid foundation to support marketing activity now and in the future.

Through researching Bosch’s target audience, and following a detailed strategy and planning process, we developed content for brand awareness, product education, brand loyalty and sales. We have helped develop the Bosch Facebook community from only 132 fans to over 209,000 brand advocates and engaged followers. This has been achieved across a number of social media channels where there is alignment to the brand. Working closely with Bosch and their media agency, we analyse all key metrics to develop the social communities and reassess and set key targets for:

  • Engagement levels
  • Click-throughs to the Bosch Home website
  • Community growth
  • On-going and easy data capture
  • Increasing reach and awareness
  • Real-time optimising of ad spend

Bonfire never stands still and while we embrace and embed social media more and more into our integrated campaigns, the on-going evolution of social media means we must consistently evolve our thinking, so we can help our clients remain ahead of the curve.
