A social media strategy delivering industry-leading results for Bosch Home Appliances UK.

Bosch Home UK, like many brands, had launched a Facebook page but social media activity had not been integrated with the brand’s other marketing activity and was proving ineffective.

Bosch had built up around 120 likes and the existing Facebook community was not reflective of a business that had built its reputation on innovation, product quality and high levels of customer service.

Bonfire took over all social media communications, as part of its much larger marketing and brand strategy for the Bosch Home brand in the UK.

Our approach was to ensure that social media moved away from a standalone activity and became integrated into all brand and campaign activity.

A mix of highly targeted text and video content, promotions, competitions and promoted posts were used to help build this market-leading brand community.

Over the first 24-month period of managing the community and digital campaign activity, Facebook likes increased from 120 to over 220,000, delivering a weekly reach of over 1 million and over 4.5 million video views.

We also delivered industry-leading levels of engagement (and cost for engagement) – the primary indicator of effective social media campaigns.

By making it a fundamental element of all sales and marketing efforts, and by building engaging content based on consumer insight, Bosch has been able to track improved sales results, brand awareness and customer engagement. Bonfire delivered the highest level of follower growth and engagement across all Bosch brand communities internationally.

This growing, highly targeted social activity was also attributed to the increase in direct sales on the Bosch-home website. In the first 6 months of year 3 they achieved the entire online sales of the previous year.
