Cooking up an award-winning new brand concept for Whitbread

Whitbread, the UK’s largest hotel, restaurant and coffee shop operator, selected Bonfire for the brand world creation and UK roll-out of its new restaurant offering Cookhouse & Pub.

Our pitch-winning concept was to build a visual brand world around the territory of “togetherness”, drawing on the Ampersand in the given name. This ‘togetherness’ then took the form of a unique, ownable ampersand device created using the ‘C’ and ‘P’.

The complete Cookhouse & Pub brand world was delivered alongside launch collateral including a full menu suite, point of sale, signage and interior graphics and brand guidelines.

RESULTS

  • The first pilot in Oldbury was rated joint No. 1 on Tripadvisor within its first month
  • Won New Pub & Restaurant concept at the Menu Innovation and Development Awards
