DGHE REBRAND

Raising the profile and positioning of DGHE to both London and overseas students

Stakeholder engagement led to successful new brand and website for renowned London college.

David Game Higher Education (DGHE) is an independent college based in the City of London offering BTEC HND, top-up and degree courses attracting its students from both the local area and overseas.

The college wanted to raise its profile and positioning to reduce its reliance on agents, drive more awareness, engagement and referrals from students as part of its mission to be recognised as a ‘first choice’ for students both in the local area and those looking to study in London from overseas.

Previous brand research had found the brand to be ‘not memorable’ and ‘not well understood’. First step was to see who was doing well in the direct and local competitor landscape and why. This led to focus groups for feedback from all key stakeholders, and further focus groups around identity and brand styling before reaching the final decision on the new design and visual direction.

Brand guidelines were then created, a new website developed, and a set of design templates with training on how to use the newly created assets for the internal marketing team (followed by a “career in creativity” session for their Graphic Design students.

  • Traffic up 405% YoY
  • New visitors up by 430% YoY
  • Sessions up 340% YoY
  • Bounce rate down 21%
