A time for giving
We’re really proud of the team at Bonfire, who have always been a generous bunch. This year is no exception with colleagues taking part in a number of fund raising events this Christmas.
First up we were proud to support our local Keech Hospice as part of the Ampthill Christmas Light’s switch on. As part of the town wide event, we launched our annual Christmas window display, which featured traditional Christmas messages with a contemporary illustrative seasonal twist. We also opened up our foyer to welcome visitors with traditional homebaked treats, alongside hot mulled wine and wonderful locally brewed ale.
Still helping to support Keech Hospice, Dani, Nikki and Shanice (pictured above l-r) took part in Bedford’s annual Santa Run, which sees hundreds of runners dressed as Santa running along the town’s famous Embankment. Both events have raised over £250 for the vital services Keech Hospice provides.
While our resident Santa’s were happy to brave the December weather, the rest of the team decided they could still do their part and remain warm. Taking part in Save The Children’s Christmas Jumper Day saw the team wearing some, ahem, fetching Christmas knitwear and raising over £50.
Prior to this, in November, or should we say Movember, we also saw a few of our team raising over £200, via growing or running, in support of men’s health.
We’ll be looking for more ways to support charities and community organisations in 2015 but, for now, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
